DCM provided Urban design certification and landscape design services for the Riverside Market and Guthrey Lane development in Central Christchurch. The project involved developing landscape concepts and detailed design drawings for the proposed laneways network running between 4 new commercial buildings and linking through to Ballantynes, the Lichfield Street carpark and the Avon River Precinct. The design included installing street furniture, paving details, planting and artwork.

An artwork competition was held to develop three interactive street art designs within the lanes. The competition was won by Jake Clark who designed a Pukeko, Kereru and a Waka to be painted on 3 different walls within the laneways network.
